Artist's Description

On the Georgia coast is a well known reminder of Georgia's colonial past. Tybee Light was ordered to be constructed by Georgia's founder, James Edward Oglethorpe during the founding years of the nearby city of Savannah. The light that stands today has been rebuilt a few times since then, most recently in the late 19th century.

Tybee Island's most recognizable landmark is a museum today, not just the light itself but the lighthouse keeper's cottage and other buildings on the property are like a page from an old book. Standing there in the still cool morning air before the island's populace has awoken, it's as close to a time machine as most of us are likely to get.

Whether you've purchased one piece or a house full or you simply admire and share with your friends, your patronage of my art is...
