Artist's Description
Old Point Loma Lighthouse in the falling rain beneath dark night skies.
Construction of Old Pt Loma light was completed in 1855. The wood building adjacent to the light was completed before the light and used as a storehouse. It was later converted into housing for the assistant lighthouse keeper and family and today serves as a museum. The lighthouse itself was replaced less than forty years later by a lighthouse at a lower elevation. But the old light, sometimes called the Old Spanish Lighthouse remains a popular historical attraction in the San Diego area.
Watercolor with acrylic which was then scanned and final detail work done in Corel. To see more of my work be sure to check out tisdaleart.com
