Description
An 1850's vintage map of the Florida panhandle coast seemed an appropriate choice for a canvas for Pensacola Lighthouse which was built in the late 1850's.
The keeper's cottage seen at the foot of the lighthouse came a decade later and was designed as a duplex to provide homes for both the lighthouse keeper and assistant lighthouse keeper and their families.
The coastal map includes Pensacola and its bay as well as Santa Rosa Island and it's bay. A beautiful piece of history and nostalgia.
