There's something about travel that, for many of us, doesn't just mean relaxing. It means doing things we'd never do back home. That's how I've personally found myself doing such things as hot air ballooning and zip lining. And there's a feeling of pure abandon and exhilaration in that moment.

While I haven't worked myself up to bungee jumping as one of my fellow adventurers did in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, I really enjoyed watching that leap and her body nearly silhouetted against the sky just speaks of that same adrenaline high as she dangles before the clouds in the sky. Can't you feel it?

Life is full of happy surprises. After just over a decade working in the 9 to 5 cube world, I threw caution to the wind to follow my dreams of being a full time visual artist. That was five years ago! Is it easy? No, but something truly worthwhile is rarely simple. My body of work is wide ranging from photographic scenes of far away places, more near and dear locations, and more fanciful artwork.
