The Krog Street Tunnel in Atlanta is one of those places that you either see art or you see an eyesore. I personally fell into the former camp. Although I didn't make it down to the Cabbagetown neighborhood often, I had to see this place at least once. It was like a mecca to local photographers, one of those places that was simply required.
The concrete walls of this train overpass were a constantly changing canvas of graffiti. It seemed each day there must be new statements, new art going up and old messages and illustrations disappearing beneath the new.
I'm hard-pressed to pick a favorite image of mine from this venue, but this one is definitely up there. I love the light trails from cars passing into the brilliant sunny day beyond. There's a metaphysical statement in here, of not being able to see what's ahead, that speaks to me on a deep level.
