Part of my time in Galway Ireland was punctuated by a thick fog, particularly on the last day when this photo of the landscape was taken. This scene is from just above the Salmon Weir in the heart of Galway on the River Corrib.
Even on a clear day, now natural this area feels is pretty amazing, but throw in this thick surreal fog and the world just melted away. There was an amazing feeling of serenity or tranquility standing there in Galway. One of those moments you wish you could internalize somehow, take it home with you and remember it in stressful times. You know?
If you look closely there's just a hint of frost. I wish I hadn't been leaving on a bus the next morning as the view the next morning after a night of freezing fog was pretty unreal and this was just a taste of what was coming.
