Description
My first week in Galway was characterized by foggy mornings, but it was only on the zenith of that weather pattern that I experienced a day when the fog never lifted. By nightfall it had become a freezing fog and any sane person was probably indoors, but not me!
It made for some surreal scenes in the city. Standing here on The Long Walk which overlooks where the Corrib flows into Galway Bay, you'd normally be able to see the waters of the bay on the horizon, but not on this day.
And I must say, I found I loved taking photos in these misty conditions. It was interesting seeing the bright colors of these Irish homes against a backdrop of fog rather than blue skies or the bay. There's a true sense of the mysterious, don't you think?
