View of Fastnet Rock and the beautiful fairy tale like lighthouse that stands on it. Fastnet Rock is an islet that is known by some as Ireland's Teardrop. This nickname is said to be because in the 19th century, it was the light sight of home for Irish immigrants sailing to America.
The current 1891 lighthouse is the second to stand on Fastnet Rock. It's depicted here under a starry night sky with the lighthouse lantern shining brightly and reflecting in the dark Atlantic Ocean waters below.
