If you ever spent a long day in the Louvre and came out in the early night air, you too may have seen a sight like this. This was my experience anyway after spending a lot of time sampling the art of the world inside the Louvre Museum. I exited through that beautiful glass pyramid and knew that I wouldn't be leaving directly. I had to take some photos of that beautiful scene.
I've said before that there's an eclectic side of me that loves the marriage of old and new architecture, and the Louvre exemplifies that in many ways. Of course the shape of a pyramid is quite ancient but I don't think anyone would question that a steel and metal pyramid like this one is quite modern in execution. Marry that with the baroque styling of the renaissance palace of the Louvre, and well, here you see it, wow!
