Montezuma's vintage railroad depot is a local landmark that most anyone from here would see and recognize. Built in 1890 in the Queen Anne style, it has not been a functioning depot for years. In my childhood, the old depot housed the local police department. Today, a local museum is housed in this former Central of Georgia Railroad depot.
Despite never knowing it as an actual train station, I wanted to peel back the years for this nostalgic piece - a scene that may have looked like this one day in the past.
Watercolor with acrylic paint that was then scanned and further details were added in by hand in Corel.
