Description
During my stay in Egypt, I was able to take a more traditional Nile Cruise aboard a Felucca like the one pictured here, from Aswan to Luxor. These days most tourists take boats like the large one docked along the Nile, which I'm sure is enjoyable, but I was happy to rough it on a sailboat, particularly a Felucca which is what was traditionally used in this part of the world for generations. Now largely a tourist experience vacationing in Egypt, it's still a magical experience.
Those were the thoughts in my mind while I edited this particular work. I loved the golden warmth, the orange hues mixing with the blues. And there was just something about it that reminded me of my time in Aswan, the dream-like quality that has since surrounded all my memories of Egypt, as if I would one day wake-up and realize I had never been on that grand adventure. Please don't pinch me, I'd rather live in a world where I sailed the Nile once at least. And I dream of re-living the scene pictured here at Aswan again some day.
