Description
I stalked the Eiffel Tower like a hunter over my several days in Paris. Nearly every day found me at some point roaming the streets nearby looking for a classic viewpoint on what is truly an iconic building.
On this particular afternoon, I was crossing a bridge down river from the Eiffel Tower. As you can, the skies were streaked with clouds. One had to be quick to catch a sunny moment at all. But just as I was standing over that wide river, I saw a flash of golden light glinting off the tower and I took my golden opportunity.
I love the cloud streaked skies and the warm light and most of all the soft reflections in the river. This is unquestionably Paris, one one would think otherwise. To me, that's what makes this a classic image of that beautiful city.
