Description
Floral prints are not what I'm known for, but this has always ranked among my personal favorites from my years of work. I love the way the cascade or orchid blossoms appear to go down as if standing on stair steps. And that delicate hint of yellow and gold in those almost paper white petals.
But if I had to pick a favorite thing about this particular orchid print, it's the angle where one stem of flowers gives both a front and side view.
In a weird but good way this has always reminded me of those cheesy school portraits so many of us had in years gone by with our profile repeated on the same black background. It's as if this beautiful orchid, those flowers now long spent, posed for just such a portrait, captured in its prime.
