It's no secret that I have a little yen for the classic British Telephone Box. It started before I ever set foot in the UK, but it continued unabated on each trip thereafter. Anytime I spotted one, I had to have a picture. And the artwork featuring them continues to flow years after my (hopefully not) last visit.
With this one, I was channeling some brilliant nights I remember in Britain where I rang in the New Years twice in Scotland. And although I've never managed to do that in London, I did see videos from a roommate in a hostel in London years ago of Fireworks over the Thames. And every since I've intended to make it back to see that in person! This fun image celebrates those colorful memories from the top to bottom of Britain.
And although I intended this to represent the greater British experience, I will say for those are interested, it is a K2 Telephone Kiosk from somewhere in London.
