Description
My first day roaming along the Tiber River near the Vatican was a stormy one to say the least. The skies were dark and brooding and the streets wet from the off-and-on rains of winter in Italy.
There's something, though, about brooding skies and old world architecture, though, that just goes together! It has a style all its own in the moody category somewhere.
But the moment of ultimate drama occurred while I was exploring Castel Sant'Angelo. I looked off in the distance over the Tiber River and for just a moment, the skies opened and the sun managed to peek through the clouds. The bonus from my vantage point was being able to capture the reflection of those moody skies in the waters of the river! The symmetry of the moment is particularly eye-catching, isn't it?
