During my time in Playa del Carmen, I had quite a mix of weather, and no complaints as not only is that simply life, it also made for an array of different views of the same place during that short stay.

For a couple of days, the beach was cast beneath storm clouds, but just before I left, those slow moving storms had pushed out over the Caribbean sea. This meant, that when one looked towards the ocean, the skies were brooding, which was quite a contrast to the sun-filled beach upon which I was standing!

This picture of one of my favorite red boats on that sun-filled beach is a great example of the contrast. In the foreground, the red is deeply enriched by the sun, but look out at the water! It even comes complete with a visible rain shower on the horizon likely pounding Cozumel while I stood there in the sun.

What an intriguing way to see the seas!
