Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Although I traveled to Chciago frequently for a period of time, it was always on business. Still, I had the chance on a trip or two to see the sights so to speak. One of those that I'll never forget was walking along Navy Pier on a spring afternoon. It was spring by local standards at least. For my blood, it was still cool and blustery. That contrast in expectations between me and the locals is what makes travel fun. I enjoy trying to experience a place through local eyes but enjoy the detachment to see the landmarks of a city anew.

Navy Pier was simply fun, a great distraction to be sure. I'd love to revisit it on a summer day in the future, but I suspect this photo of the amusement rides will always be the image which comes to my mind when I think of Chicago. It reminded me of a hundred carnivals and fairs of my childhood. I loved seeing the swings in motion against the dusk sky and the Ferris wheel lights aglow.
