I encountered this young goose several years ago on a little bend in the Chattahoochee River near Roswell, Georgia. The early morning light and the natural colors reflecting in the river water really accented him beautifully. One of my favorite parts of the scene, though, are the beautiful ripples of water spreading away from him on the surface of the water.

I'm not 100% sure of my identification of this goose, so I welcome anyone who has more information. The photo was taken in spring, so it may have been a young goose hence the difficulty identifying it. I believe after comparing photos and reading descriptions that it's a Snow Goose or a Blue Goose (dark morph goose).
