Description
Forsyth Park and its beautiful Victorian fountain are among Savannah's more well known landmarks. Built in the 19th century it has a Parisian flair which reflects Paris' influence on urban planning in cities near and far at the time.
Seen here in the evening during a gentle rain, it has an almost ageless appeal. That rich history and quaint beauty is why picturesque Savannah has become such a popular destination in recent years.
Of course Savannah came into wider attention following the success of John Berendt's famous book, Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil. This scene reminds me just a little of the cover from that book, the vibe of it, obviously not the actual statue, etc. Savannah has its own beauty that just comes through.
