After several trips to Mexico, one of the things I most remember is the beautiful old churches and cathedrals I've seen in the cities and towns there. A great many of them date back to Spanish Colonial times and the architecture, often Baroque, is instantly recognizable. These churches typically form the hearts of various neighborhoods or in the case of the cathedrals, the very epicenter of the city, the Zocalo.
I've also secreted a couple of cemetery photos in this gallery quite honestly because it seemed the best place for these elaborate and beautiful shrines.
